George Edward Passig

PASSIG, George Edward, 71 of Imperial, MO, peacefully at rest and anointed with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Loving husband for 44 years of Maureen (nee Abegg). George was preceded in death by his parents George and Emma E. (nee Halley) and his brother Harold A. Passig. Loving father of Steve (Robyn) Passig, Mary (Bob) Ainsley, Cia (Rick) Carpenter and Tom Passig; beloved grandfather of Dustin Passig, Zachary Passig, Anne Ainsley, Matthew Passig, Emily Ainsley, Tyler Passig, Rachel Passig and Ryan Passig; dear brother of Sharon Barnard, Marilyn (Al) Weinhaus, Robert Passig and Glenn (Angie) Passig; beloved uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to many.

Born in Bynumville, MO in Chariton County, he attended school in Marceline, MO and moved to St. Louis in 1961. He was employed at the St. Louis Chrysler Corp assembly plants and in 1965 George was made a supervisor until he retired in 1997.

SERVICES: Visitation, 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. Mass of the Resurrection 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Rd., Imperial, MO 63052. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
