Happy mother's day! We all miss you. Still planting yellow flowers that you like. Some sad news regarding Keith. Sue has stage 4 brain cancer. Keith talks about how it's similar to your brain aneurysm. Unfortunately, for Sue this cancer has a bad prognosis. I think Keith is in denial. I plan to go home soon and I will visit you and check in on them to try and help how I can. Wishing you a happy mother's day. I hope you are at peace. Love you. Tina

Mom,
It's Christmas time 2024. We still miss you. There is still friction between all of us. I miss the times when we were younger and really cared about each other when times were rough. Karla is very involved with her grandkids. She has a grandson and granddaughter. Harry's marriage to Mary has lasted longer than any other relationship he has had but she is a very challenging person to be around and has mental problems. As much as I care for Harry, I am decided it's best to stay away as much as possible.   She has issues but she is probably the best woman he has been with. Keith is doing ok and he and Sue are married 32 years. They still seem very happy. Dan and I have a 34 year wedding anniversary on December 15th. The farm is such a blessing. To think a girl from Arnold Missouri who came from very very modest means owns a beautiful place like is so humbling. Dan and I wished you and his mom could have seen this before you passed. We are very grateful for what you did for us. Just wanted you to know that I love you and still think about you at this time. Tina

Hi Mom,
Happy 2024 and wishing you a wonderful Mother's day! Miss you... A lot going on with us here in West Virginia.  Dan and I are gearing up for the farm season. We won't be able to do this kind of work much longer. Dan is still a hard worker given his heart surgery. He loves this place as I do too... however, it's just a matter of time before it's too much given our age. Wish you would have been able to see it before you moved on. You would have loved it. The mountains, the view, and really clean living. We are so lucky. Karla, Harry and Keith seem to be doing well... each have their own houses. I worry about Keith the most. Thank God for Sue ..if he had not found her he might have been lost but they have been married almost as long as Dan and I which says a lot about them. Karla's grandchildren are doing great. Kaylee and Logan are in elementary school... unbelievable. Beautiful children.  Harry is fully retired and he and Mary are ok.  I think about you so often and know you love yellow flowers. So in honor of Mother's day, Dan and I are planting yellow flowers for you and Catherine. Dan's mom loved yellow flowers too. Love you and wishing you a wonderful Mother's day....Tina

Hi Mom,
I just posted a Christmas message but wanted to elaborate on what is happening with the family. Karla has two grandchildren. Logan and Kaley. They are beautiful. Harry and Mary are still together and seem happy. Keith and Sue have been married for 29 years. They seem happy too. I have had stage three colon cancer. The treatment was terrible to go through but obviously I am still here. I am still having problems with the after effects. Dan and I will be married 32 years this December. Wish you and Dan's mom .. Catherine could have seen theplace. Love you always! Tina

Still miss you. It's 2022. Just wanted to thank you again for everything. Dan and I finally have a farm that we bought in West Virginia. We would have loved for you and Dan's mom to stay with us. Never too late to find our farm, right? How long did it take us.... we could never afford it until now.  In our 60's...oh well....we are still very lucky. We think about you all the time. I will never forget how loving Lena was. I grew up with Keith and I would always walk bare foot down to see the family and Bill and Lena always referred to me as the barefootin kid. When I had my in home daycare on Halloween I would dress up the kids and we would have  a parade to Lena and Cookies house, they always made up special goodie bags for the kids, one year it rained and we couldnt go , there was a knock on the door ,and there they were with goodies in hand for the kids! My heart is so sad for Bill and Keith and Tina and the rest of the family. Always praying for you! Love JoAnn(Moore) Sergenko

Lena was a very special person to everyone. No one ever thought she would over come her devistating brain injury but she surprised everyone. Lena may not have been perfect from that point but I bet if you were to ask the loved ones around her they could find no fault. As the years went on I started to understand her pain with constant headaches and she always told me that when the headaches stopped she needed the hospital right a way. Well as we now have seen God our father had other plans for her. Now she is everyone's guardian angel. So when you feel the chill on your neck just remember that she is by your side always.
