

Leota Eloise Jaycox, 86, of Many, LA formerly of Barnhart, MO passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Sabine Medical Center. She was born December 4, 1924 in Howes Mill, MO to Clifford and Verde Short Parker.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. Leota was also a talented pianist and played in church services every Sunday until becoming ill. She married the late Paul H. Jaycox on February 14, 1942 in Iron County, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul in 1999; son Jerry C. Jaycox, Sister Athalene Webb; and brother Raymond Parker.
Leota is survived by her sister Margaret Stafford and husband Glenn of Barnhart, MO; daughter Alice Lore and husband Phil of Many, LA; son William P. Jaycox and wife Kathy of Springdale, AR; son Virgel R. Jaycox and wife Christine of Rochester, NY; son Joseph W. Jaycox and wife Joann of Bella Vista, AR; daughter-in-law Susan Jaycox of Savannah, GA; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Springdale Missionary Baptist Church, 1779 S. Hwy. 141 in Fenton, MO with Reverend Dan Wisely officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, MO under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO.
