Pam was born December 30, 1961, to James and Erma (nee Cox) Lucas in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, where her father was stationed in the United States Air Force, the 2nd of 4 daughters. Pam was a tiny, adorable, curly haired spitfire as a child who carried her fun spirited soul well into adulthood. She took on many passions throughout her life including horseback riding, soccer, gymnastics and dance.
Although circumstances made it difficult for her to complete her education, she developed an appreciation for learning and eventually earned a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Central Missouri. She worked many jobs throughout her life to include teaching ballroom dancing but found the most joy working in special education as a teacher’s assistant, she loved working with children the most. She also enjoyed writing, art, crafts, drawing and painting, and watching TV. Pam prided herself the most on her home-grown tomatoes and always having an impeccably clean house.
Pam was strong willed and stubborn at times, she always told you the truth, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear, but she also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave and she will be deeply missed by many.
Pam is survived by her father, James; her loving partner of 16-years Dave Davis; daughter, Mindy (Justin) Eddleman of Kansas City, MO; beloved grandchildren; Kathryn (Dominic) Colbert, Nathan, Addison, Logan, and Olivia Eddleman; sisters, Belinda (Charles) Goedde Jr., Glenda and Cheryl Lucas; step-siblings, Faith, Hope, and Charles Everett as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Erma (nee Cox) Lucas; her baby boy, Benjamin “BJ” Lucas; her step-mother, Jo Anne; and a step-brother, Michael Everett.
Family and friends are invited and welcome to attend her Visitation and Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 1-4 PM at the Heiligtag-Lang-Fedler Funeral Home located at 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests that you plant one in her memory. While she was gifted with a green thumb her daughter was not.
