Velma R. (nee Heiligtag) Wilson, 94, of Pevely was born September 6, 1930 in Moss Hollow, MO. The daughter of the late William and Ida (nee Glass) Heiligtag. She died January 6, 2025, at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Crystal City. She was a member of the Grace Communion International Church of Hillsboro.
She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed Karaoke and would get up and sing. She belonged to the St. Louis Pooka Club and the American Czech Educational Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Wilson of 41 years. They were married on December 22, 1952, in Arkansas. Also preceded in death by her daughter Tami Jane Wilson (1997).
Preceded in death by three sisters: Leona Reissing of Hillsboro, Vernita Reiner of Imperial, Vera Fry of St. Louis County and one brother Raymond Heiligtag of Barnhart.
Velma owned Eco-Robic Products in Antonia.
She is survived by her caregivers Donna Clonts and Randy Reissing, a niece and nephew.
She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 10 A.M. with service to follow at 11 A.M. Interment private.
