Betty Jo Patterson

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Junior Patterson; sisters, Ruth Six, Mildred Hill, and Mary Stump; and brothers, Spencer Snider, Perry Snider, and Sam "Curt" Snider.

She is survived by her son, James “Jimmy” Spencer Patterson, Sr.; daughter, Judy Ann Barnes (Lee); 6 grandchildren; Spencer (Carin), Kevin (Sarah) and Anthony (Jessica) Patterson; Brandy, Tonya and Justin Barnes; 8 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Helen Lilly and Mason Snider.

After retirement from the United States Postal Service, she spent time sewing, reading, gardening, canning, and completing puzzles. She also enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens. Many will remember her for her generosity and her helping hand.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 1 to 2pm, at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 Washington Hwy, Ashland, where services will begin at 2pm. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover.
