SCHWARTZ, Cecil Ira, 84, of Doswell, died on May 26, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Catherine W. Schwartz; son, Ronnie Schwartz (Mary); daughters, Brenda Stanley and Carol Bailey; eight grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Jason and Justin Stanley, AJ (Samantha) and Katie Schwartz and Thomas (Calli) and Davis Bailey; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and a special brother-in-law, Tom West and sister, Edith Newcomb. Cecil retired from Gilman Logging Company in Ashland and was a long time member of Calvary Christian Church.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. 23005, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Christian Church Cemetery, 14196 Ashland Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23059.
