

courageous battle with cancer. He was born May the 7th, 1946 in Richmond, Virginia, where he spent
most of his life. In his final days he was surrounded by the love of family and friends. He served in the
U.S. Navy from 1963 until 1968 as a telecommunications specialist. He retired from Hewlett Packard in
2011. His legacy will live on in all those who knew him. His kindness, his compassion and his gentle
strength will endure as an inspiration. He is survived by his devoted wife Tracy, his son Bradley and his
beloved girlfriend Laura; his son Wesley and his dear wife Monique, beloved nephews Kristopher and
Jonathan; tireless and priceless friend Theresa Setelin, as well as many other wonderful friends. He was
preceded in death by his mother Janet and his father Charles, Sr.The family will receive friends from
6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 27 at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel, Ashland, VA where a memorial
service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, interment to follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers,
donations would be appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project, Virginia Veterans Services Foundation
