Darrel Dean Collins Sr.

He was the loving husband of Patricia Hand Collins; devoted father of Dean (Roberta) Collins and Susan Collins; cherished grandfather of Robert Collins and Leanne Brooks; great-grandfather of Rylan Brooks and Wesley Brooks; brother of Glen (Carlene) collins, Fay (Richard) Snead, Earl Collins and Lawrence "Eddie" (Linda) Collins; and brother-in-law of Judy Collins and Lucy Collins. He had a few very special childhood friends who meant a lot to him which were, Larry Carter, Jim Reid, and Buddy Sampson. He is also survived by his adopted daughter, Kelli Martin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Darrel was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Eugene Collins and Alice Emily Collins, Douglas McArthur Collins, and Great Granddaughter, Natalee Brooks.

He was a member of Andover United Methodist Church, enjoyed watching westerns, big race fan (Nascar), and loved watching wrestling all week long. His greatest gift was his tender loving care for his family. His favorite time of the year was Christmas. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Darrel will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM at Hunton Baptist Church, 11660 Greenwood Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
