He was preceded in death by his father, Walter McKinney Sr., his mother, Margaret McKinney, his brothers Robert and Kenny McKinney, and his wife Janice McKinney.
He is survived by two sons, David P. McKinney Jr. and Steven McKinney, and a daughter Terrie McKinney. His grandchildren, Robbie McKinney, Christian McKinney, Tyler McKinney and David McKinney also survive him. His siblings, Sis Selander, Larry McKinney, Tommy McKinney, Brenda Helms, and Michael McKinney mourn his loss.
David was an exterminator for Ferrell's Pest Control.
A Visitation will be held for David on Monday, October 24th, 2022 from 11AM to 1PM at Nelsen Funeral Home located at 412 S Washington Hwy, Ashland VA, 23005. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation and start at 1PM at Nelsen Funeral home located at 412 S Washington Hwy, Ashland VA, 23005. A procession will immediately follow the Funeral to the Graveside Committal at the McKinney Family Cemetery located at 1586 Signboard Rd, Bumpass VA, 23024.
