Dorothy Brewster DelVecchio, 96, of Ashland, passed peacefully on January 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. DelVecchio and son, Robert B. DelVecchio. She was the remaining survivor of her 2 brothers, Bob and Donnie Brewster and sister, Shirley Hamilton. Dorothy was a devoted member at St. Ann's Catholic Church for over 30 years. She is survived by her children, Florence Forney (Frank), Keith DelVecchio (Terry), Dan DelVecchio (Wanda), Chuck DelVecchio (Donna), and Tina Adkins (Dexter); eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and special friend, Jim Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead Street, Ashland, VA 23005. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church.
