SHARECK, Frances Watts, died on November 3, 2018 at her Chesterfield Heights residence in Midlothian, Va. Born at Tye River (Nelson County), Va. on April 21, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Louis and Alma Dawson Watts. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Mary North and Evelyn James; two brothers, Eddie L. Watts, Jr. and Joseph L. Watts; and her former husband, Everett P. Shareck. She is survived by her beloved and devoted daughter, Stephanie Shareck Werner and her husband, Dave, of Ashland, Va.; two sisters, Janet Martin of Richmond and Anna Johnson of Duck, N.C., a brother James Russell Watts of Richmond; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frances was a 1949 graduate of Lovingston (Va.) High School and had a long career in banking and the federal government. She worked as secretary to Defense Secretary Robert S. McNamara at the Pentagon during the Kennedy administration. After settling in Richmond, she retired from Central Fidelity Bank as a human resources officer. A Service for the Worship of God and of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at Chesterfield Heights, 901 Madrona Street, Midlothian. All are welcome. A memorial contribution to the Virginia War Memorial, the Bedford Memorial, Families of the Wounded or the patriotic organization of your choice is preferred in lieu of flowers.
