AUX SOINS DE
Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel
John Eric Durose Jr., age 68, of Beaverdam, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
John was born May 27, 1953 to the late John and Anne Durose.
John was the co-owner of Tigerseal Products LLC, which he ran with his wife, Brenda and staff member Dean Sayers. He was a man with a strong work-ethic who was always found doing something productive. As the human embodiment of altruism, he instilled a sense of compassion towards all living things. John was loved by all who knew him and would always do anything for any person or animal in need. Many knew him to feed anything that came to his door.
John lived by his strong morals and ethics. No matter how busy he was he would find time to help you. He was a connoisseur of all food burnt, particularly cookies, hamburgers, and pizza (but light on cheese, extra sauce). He was passionate about Z cars and could often be spotted in his beloved white 280ZX.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Brenda Durose; children, Leah Blizard (Michael), Warren Hamburg (Trish), John Durose III (Natalia), Nicole Durose, Jordan Durose (Sean); grandchildren, Ryan Hamburg, McKenna Hamburg, Josie Durose, Polina Goryaynova, and expected Baby Boy Durose; sister, Annie Durose (John); nephews, Matthew and Joey; niece, Louise; and his collection of animals.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Because of John's strong beliefs in civil rights and equality and justice, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Poverty Law Center (splcenter.org).
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.NelsenAshland.com for the Durose family.
