Joseph C. "Joe" Melton, 61, of Henrico, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie E. Melton Jr. and Carol V. Melton; and brother, Billy Melton. He is survived by his brother and best friend, Dennis P. Melton; sisters, Ruby George and Sandra Fenner; and nephew, Luke Fenner. He enjoyed playing guitar and he loved music and trivia. We will miss his quick-witted humor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home-Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va, where a funeral service will be held the following day at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Winn's Baptist Church Cemetery.
