Lane, Lucy May, 77, of Chester, formally of Ashland, passed away on June 15, 2014. She was the widow of Jack Lane. She was preceded in death by her son, J.J. Lane; a grandson, Joshua J. Lane; and a great granddaughter, Brittany Williams. She is survived by her devoted son and best friend, Mickey Lane, a daughter, Debbe Reyes and son, Jacky Lane (April). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leslie Williams (Frankie), Jay Lane, Jr. (Rachel), Shane (Maria), Justin, Angela and Mande; great grandchildren, Stacy Dunkelberzer (Michael), Jay III, Devin, Nathan “Natebug”, Sean Tyler, Shane, Jr. “Chickie”, Kaylynn and Savannah; a great-great grandson, Tristan “little britches”; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and her second family, Harborlight Pentecostal Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA where services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Interment will follow at Woodland cemetery.
