MILLS, Martha Jane, 94, of Montpelier, departed this earth on May 4, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Emmett Mills and her son, Emmett Wade Mills. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Chenault (Alvin Kemp); grandchildren, Jason (Tim), Dwight (Kristie), Travis (Katie), Dana (G.B.); great-grandchildren, Colston, Carter, and Marley; her daughter-in-law, Sheila Stanley; also left to cherish in her memory are a host of family members and friends. Martha was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, where a service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Interment will be in Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living in C-Wing and Asera Care Hospice group for the loving support and care they provided to Martha and her family.
