Walter Carlysle Luck, 73, of Beaverdam, went to his heavenly home on September 20, 2014. He was an expert cabinet maker and offshore commercial fisherman who loved life fully and never met a stranger. Mr. Luck is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Faye Wilmoth Luck; son, Howard Carlysle Luck; daughter, Carla Jo Luck; step-children, Benny Hawley, Ann Phillips, and Grady Mintz; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Hall; brother, Roy Luck; special nephew, Justin Smith; special niece, Melissa Bliss, and his beloved dog, Tater. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Christian Church, 16158 Beaverdam School Rd, Beaverdam, VA 23015, where the family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Interment will follow in the Luck Family Cemetery in Bumpass, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society at P.O.
