Squires, William C. Jr. “Bill” “Papaw”, 80, of Doswell, entered eternal rest on September 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Squires and Ethel P. Squires; and brothers, James Squires, Glen Allen Squires, and Gerald Lee Squires; he is survived by his wife, Doris of 57 years; children, Mary Beth, Michael E. and William Allen Squires; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sisters, Sarah Bordelon, Pauline White (Bill), Joyce Ann Squires; and brother, John Franklin Squires. Bill was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was also an active member of the Ruritan’s Club and a longtime volunteer fire fighter. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A service will take place at 10am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Concord Baptist Church, 15625 Concord Rd., Ruther Glen, VA 22546. Interment will be at Bermuda Memorial Park at 3:00pm.
