Aline Emery

Our Mom, late of Regina, formerly of Assiniboia and Scout Lake passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 25th, 2012. Mom is reunited with the husband she always cherished. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Ernst & Ellen Kuebler, one sister, four brothers, as well as all sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Mom was predeceased by our Dad, Kenneth Selby Emery, January 2001. Left to cherish her memory are her seven daughters, and families. Mom will be forever loved and missed by: Donna (Fred) Peakman, Bracken, SK; Sharon Low, Regina; Arlene (Bill) Down, Regina; twins Beverly (Con) Berger, Copper Sands; Barbara (Bob) Chilson, Creston, BC; Kathy (Bill) Calwell, Moose Jaw; and Cheryl (Larry) Dvernichuk, Emerald Park. Mom is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Ken (Roberta) Peakman (Kirk & Kehra; Talon, Tanner, Jaceil); Rick (Mandy) Peakman (Drew, Ty); Kevin Low; Kenton (Virginia) Emery (Brooke-Lyn, Kendell); Kendra (John) Giuliano; Selby Schroeder; sister, Margaret, of Vancouver as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born on her parent’s homestead, near Scout Lake, SK on September 25th, 1917. Mom married Dad in 1939. In 1941 they moved to Scout Lake where they purchased her parent’s homestead, farming there until they retired to Assiniboia in 1987, moving to Regina in 1999. We will always remember her pies (Dad’s favorite), buns, bread, and her over-the-top fried chicken. A special thank you to the staff at Santa Maria for their kindness and compassionate care. As well, thank you to Dr. Lotz. At Mom’s request, a private family service was held with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK.
