Carmelle started her life on February 21, 1960 at the family farm near Verwood, Saskatchewan. Carmelle loved it there and never lost her love of the country life. Her nickname was "Petite Poune" as she was very tiny and subjected to lots of teasing from her siblings. At a young age, she married Gabriel “Butch” Lemieux, raising two fine boys, who to this day are a source of great pride. Carmelle's role as wife and mother gave her many happy memories. After Butch passed away in 2000, Carmelle met Bill Middleton and in 2002 moved to Regina where they started “a second chance at life”, filled with laughter and love. Moving back to Willow Bunch with Bill in 2011, her time was spent enjoying family, gardening, camping and her latest craze for fishing. Music was a constant in Carmelle's life, singing and playing her guitar for mass every Sunday. All through her life, singing at weddings and funerals as well as with various choirs. It was a source of great joy for Carmelle. Carmelle's work life entailed a large variety of jobs, from cook to heavy equipment operator and on to working in corporate offices at FCC, Sask. Tourism and finally at Conexus Assiniboia. To all of them she gave her best...as was Carmelle's way. Carmelle gave respect and love to many and as such her passing has left an empty spot in those lives.
