It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Dumonceau announce his sudden passing. Ken was 55 years old at the time of his fatal accident on September 27, 2021. He had been living in Calgary for the past several years.
Kenny will lovingly be remembered by his siblings: Phil (Lea), Sue (Trevor) and Rob (Tania). He will also be dearly missed by his niece, Amanda and his nephews Levi, Dawson, Ryder and Alex. Ken had many friends and close cousins who also mourn his loss.
Ken was predeceased by his parents: Monique in 2020 and Gaston Dumonceau in 2001.
Our brother was a kind soul who cared about the welfare of others. He was always willing to help when it was necessary. He was a true jack of all trades always creating, fixing or building what was needed. Ken was an extremely hard worker who never quit until the job was done.
Kenny was a true outdoorsman. He would often be cycling, hiking or camping. He also loved kayaking, fishing and skiing. He was also very athletic, training for a year before competing in a triathlon. Over the years, he completed several as well as marathons and long-distance bike trips. He passed on his love of nature to those of us who knew him best.
Ken found his spirituality in the outdoors in the mountains and on his many adventures to places such as Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, Maui, the Maritimes and Thailand. He absolutely loved to travel and see new places.
A Celebration of Life for Ken will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. George’s R.C. Parish Hall, Assiniboia, SK, facilitated by Gary K. Miller. Tributes by Rob and opportunity for anyone to share memories. Interment to follow at Christ the King R.C. Cemetery, Fife Lake, SK.
