Lester Marvin Shelstad

Lester Shelstad of Coronach SK, passed away peacefully with family at his side, on January 13, 2013 at age 77. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Mary (nee Krusk) Shelstad, Lester is survived by his wife Maureen (nee MacLean); 3 children, Cynthia (Dr. Victor Carulei) of Assiniboia, Mark (Carol) of Coronach and Marcia Shelstad of Lumsden; and 5 grandchildren: Alysha, Stephanie, and Zach Shelstad (Coronach), Tye and Alexandria Sabean (Lumsden), 2 brothers, Jerry (Diane) and Dale (Janice) both of Vancouver; niece and nephews Ladawne, Brad, Norman Shelstad all of B.C.

Lester Marvin was born June 10, 1935 at East Poplar, SK. He later attended schools at Eddyside, Coronach and College at Belleville, Ont. (Radio/TV Repair). Shelstad's Radio/TV Business was started, later to be replaced by farming at East Poplar and Fife Lake. Life was spent at East Poplar and Coronach where he and wife Maureen raised their 3 children; Cynthia, Mark and Marcia. A quiet gentleman with a sense of humour, Lester's entire life centred around family and home. So loved and missed by all!

Les is also survived by brothers-in-law, Gordon (Martha) and Cameron (Shirley) MacLean of Fife Lake; nephews Collin (Jackie) and Doug MacLean of Fife Lake; niece Christa MacLean (Regina).

He is also survived by numerous cousins, uncles (Krusk) Williard, Don, Russell, and John; predeceased by Pete and Nick; survived by aunts (Krusk) Millie, Sophie, Helen, predeceased by Nellie and Annie; predeceased by uncles (Shelstad) Elmer and Joseph and aunt Alice (nee McNair).
