Marguerite Frigon

Marie Anna Marguerite Frigon passed away on November 27, 2025, at the Ross Payant Nursing Home in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, at the age of 90.

Marguerite was born on December 10, 1934, on the family homestead near Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan. She was the eldest of twelve children born to Viateur and Rose Eva Forest. Raised on the family farm in the Willow Bunch district, she completed her schooling there before moving to Quebec, where she lived for many years.

Eventually, Marguerite returned to Saskatchewan and made her home in Assiniboia with her brother Albert. Together, they shared a love of gardening, woodworking, and crafting a variety of wall and lawn ornaments. Marguerite had many hobbies she took great joy in, including visiting with others, playing cards, crocheting, puzzles, cooking, and canning.

For the past five years, Marguerite resided at the Ross Payant Nursing Home. She was deeply appreciative of the exceptional care she received and often spoke warmly of the staff. She cherished time spent with family and friends and always looked forward to their visits.

Marguerite will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her smile, and her love for those around her.

Marguerite is survived by two sisters, Marie Rainville and Rita Leroy, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Joseph Elie Eugene Frigon; siblings: Denis, Poncho, Doris Lavallée, Roger, Albert, Florent, Lionel, Claire Willey and Thèrése Epp.

Visitation from 11:00am to 12:45pm Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. George's Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 5, 2025 in St. George's Roman Catholic Church, followed by fellowship and lunch in the Knights of Columbus room of St. George's Parish Hall. Interment at St. Ignace Roman Catholic Cemetery, Willow Bunch, SK. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the Frigon and Forest family may be shared at www.rossfuneralservice.com.
