After 53 years of marriage, Marielle will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend, Claude; her children, Allain Dionne, Adelle (Reno) Dionne Giambattista and Andre (Tracey Smillie) Dionne; as well as her grandchildren, Danica and Matteo Giambattista, and Kendra, Arica and Evan Dionne.
Marielle's love extended to many nieces, nephews and friends. She had a warm and loving spirit that was cherished by all who came into her presence.
Marielle was born and raised in Willow Bunch, SK, where she and Claude married and resided for 50 years before moving to Regina. She was known for her green thumb in growing and maintaining the most beautiful flowers in her garden. She was also well known for her incredible cooking, baking, and crafting, gifting to her friends and family.
Marielle and her husband were passionate about dancing and visited many towns, cities, and states alongside their devoted dancing friends. These friendships became her support system throughout her recent battle with cancer. She will always be remembered for her sparkly, energized dancing shoes and personality on the dancing floor. Even through treatment and surgery - Marielle danced! She will be forever dancing in the sky now.
Marielle was honoured with her incredible kindness when she was nominated and featured as a "Hometown Hero" for donating over 1000 crocheted cancer ribbon keychains of "Never Give Up" to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic. Crocheting gifts for others made her happy; with this and many other acts of kindness, she will be forever missed.
You were planted on earth to one day bloom in Heaven. Rest well, our beautiful dancing flower.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church, 4720 Castle Rd., Regina, SK.
