Milton Openshaw Milton William Openshaw was born in Brandon, Manitoba on May 9th, 1942 and left this world on March 19th, 2021. Milt got his degree as a school teacher, then taught in the military base in Silo, Manitoba. He didn't like teaching as the kids were too challenging. So, he moved to Alberta and worked for the government there. While there he enjoyed attending the United Church and played the piano for some ten years. We believe it was in Camrose, Alberta. Then Milt moved to Ontario and held a government job there until the Conservatives were defeated and his job was done. Milt loved dogs, mostly the largers dogs like Boxers and Bulldogs. Being unemployed, Milt went more into raising dogs and did quite well taking them to shows for competitions etc. and won many prizes and trophies. Throughout the years, Milt did a fair amount of travelling throughout the world and shared interesting things about where he'd been. He loved Britain and wished he'd have stayed there. From his Ontario home, some fifteen years later, Milt decided to move to the less restricted town of Coronach in Saskatchewan, where he continued to raise dogs for a while. Milt had a very artistic mind, always coming up with new ideas for decorating his house and yard. As time went by, age increased and health declined. Milt settled to having one dog, a cute little shitzu and of course a TV set which was on all day and mostly all night. Milt is survived by his only sister, Rahlaan (Roger) Tasire of Brooks, Alberta. Graveside Service was held April 7, 2021 at the Coronach Cemetery, Coronach, SK. Hans Zoller presided.
