Phyllis Mills

Phyllis E Mills passed away February 19, 2022 at the Bengough Health Centre at age 96. She was born March 3, 1925 on the family farm at Aylesbury, SK, the fourth child of Joseph and Ada Amundrud. She received her education at Aylesbury then worked at the General Hospital in Moose Jaw, Sears in Regina and the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Regina as a typist before marrying Albert on June 6, 1955. Phyllis worked alongside Albert with the farming operations. She belonged to the Co-op Guild, was a 4-H leader and served on the Community Centre Board and Bengough Drop-In. She enjoyed cards, puzzles, keeping up the family tree, dancing, travelling and handiwork to pass the time. She retired to Bengough in 1990. Predeceased by husband Albert (1990), daughter Shelly Lynn (1972), siblings: Addis, Leona, Lela, Ellwyn, Dale and Cletus. Cherishing her memory are three children: Valerie (Lenny) Giraudier of Willow Bunch, Gail Mills of Regina, Grant of Bengough; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Landon (Dana): Talen and Chloe; Kirk (Tami): Jaycee, Trace, Tayah and Denae; Carmen (Patti): Kashton, Jessa, Lyrae and Caynan; and Alanna (Dan) Getz: Kyra and Ryden. A private family Celebration of Life was held Monday, February 28, 2022 at Ross Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at the Bengough Cemetery.
