Richard Dick Eugene Singbeil

Richard (Dick) Singbeil, age 88, of Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2023. Dick is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sylvia (nee Reisdorf), his son Delmar, his daughter Debbie (Patrick) Weimer and grandson Zachary; along with his brothers Jim (Liz), Gary (Karen), Ed (Donna) as well as many nieces and nephews. Dick is predeceased by his infant son, Lyle, parents, Edward and Helen, brother Robert, sisters Florence Reed, Bonnie Lawrick, Donna Miller and Sandra Linz.

Dick was born on July 16th, 1935, and at the age of five, he came to Assiniboia with his parents. Dick worked for Dairy Producers and the Assiniboia Creamery for 37 years. He was involved in a drama production group in the 60’s and loved acting and the many friendships that were made. Sylvia and Dick were also avid bowlers and caretakers of the old Assiniboia Bowling Alley. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Every year, for several years, he was the duck hunting guide for a group of lawyers from Wisconsin. Many adventures and memories were made and they remained close family friends. Dick was an active member of the 55 Club and Messiah Lutheran Church.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 20th, 2023 at 2:00 pm, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Assiniboia, SK with Pastor Sarah Mowat officiating. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. Donations in his memory may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
