

With family at her side, Jennie Irene (Sis) Price passed away after a long and fulfilling life, December 24th, 2012. Sis was born May 10th, 1916 and raised in the Davyroyd district. Sis married Merv in 1940, continuing to live in the Davyroyd district where they farmed and raised their family. She was active in the community and played the organ for church services at Davyroyd United for many years. Upon retirement they moved to Assiniboia and their house on Dominion Road was a landmark and anchor for extended family and many friends. Sis and Merv enjoyed travel and spent many winters in the Southern USA. They traveled to Europe, New Zealand and attended many Sask. Roughrider games. Sis moved into the Assiniboia Pioneer Lodge for several years. She then moved to Regina to be closer to her daughter Connie and family.
Predeceased by husband Merv, her brothers Neil and Bruce Taylor and son-in-law Don Sulymka, parents Archie and Ilda, Sis is survived by her son Keith (Yvonne) of Campbell River, daughter Connie Sulymka of Regina; grandchildren Owen Price, Peri Maines (Glen) of Edmonton, Mark Sulymka (Shelly) of White City, Marlo McIvor (Russ) of Regina Beach and six great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Doris Price and Norma Taylor. She also leaves a large and close extended family of nieces and nephews in many locations around SK and in the USA.
Sis’ family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Elmview Extendicare in Regina for the support and love they demonstrated to her over the years.
A private Family Service was held December 29, 2012. Pallbearers were her family. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK.
