Spencer John Mattson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend Spencer John Mattson on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Spencer was born May 19, 1994 in Assiniboia, SK and completed his schooling in Assiniboia. Spencer had a passion for construction and made this his career. One quick look at Spencer’s handy work and you could tell he took pride in it. Not only did he take pride in his work, he took pride in his sports. Spencer loved watching sports on TV, he also loved playing baseball and basketball with his close friends. He may not have been the biggest guy on the court, but what he lacked in height, he made up with his heart. Spencer gave it 110%. Spencer has joined his grandfathers George Mattson and Leo O’Reilly and great-grandparents in heaven. He will be sadly missed by his parents John and Annette Mattson, sisters Merissa Mattson and Stephanie (Eric) Chevrier, grandmothers Ruth Mattson and Doris O’Reilly, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. George Roman Catholic Church, Assiniboia, SK. Pastor Doug Miner (Messiah Lutheran Church) officiated. CD selections played were ‘Le Soleil Se Leve’ and ‘We Hold Each Other’. Honorary Pallbearers were; Garrett Seal, Mitch Pinfold, Jesse Beaubien, Vaughn Embury, Tyler Walters, and Brady Richmond. Urn Bearers were Annette & John. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. Spencer will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
