

Danita R. (Easterday) Raminha passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at her home after a strong and hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1972. A long-time resident of Atascadero, Danita enjoyed time spent with her family, watching her son’s many sports, including Atascadero High School football and basketball. She loved spending time with her many friends, camping and dirt bike riding. Danita was a graduate of Atascadero High School. She studied hard on her own while working full time, earning a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business – Public Administration, University of Phoenix. Danita was the Human Resources Director for the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County, where she worked for 14 years. She also worked in the human resources department at Atascadero State Hospital, worked for the County of San Luis Obispo in various departments including the Public Health Agency, County Administrative Office, Risk Management, and General Services. Danita not only exceled at her work but also with life itself. She had a strength that made her a natural leader, both within the family and the community. Always quick-witted, Danita had a sense of humor that made her fun to be around. She lived life to the fullest and was a natural inspiration to others. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jeff, her son Garrett, her very loving, adopted dad and mom, Larry and Paula Lampert, her brother William Evans (Dana), sister Nancy Easterday, Aunt Jane Easterday, Aunt Margie Easterday, Edwin and Barbara Raminha, Amy Rose (Deric), Carleen McKillop (Ryan) and Mark Raminha (Suzanne). And a great many nieces/nephews that loved their Aunt Danita, and a godchild Madison Howard. Danita’s life touched so many people it is impossible to list them all. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3 at Atascadero Bible Church followed by a celebration of life at 9900 Santa Lucia Road, Atascadero immediately following. In lieu of flowers there has been a gofundme.com account set up for Garrett’s college education, which was very important to Danita.
