Deborah Lynn Humphrey

Deborah Lynn Humphrey (Grim), age 60, of Atascadero, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 in San Luis Obispo. She was born on February 22, 1955, in Bakersfield to her parents, Mr. Delbert Grim and Mrs. Marianne Jennings. Debbie was one of six children growing up in Atascadero. She has two children and two grandchildren living in San Luis Obispo County and one son in Longview, Washington. Debbie attended Lewis Avenue Elementary and Atascadero Union High School. She attended Atascadero Bible Church and loved Jesus. She lived in Atascadero for 25 years. Debbie “Grammie” enjoyed the beach, walks, music, dancing and detective movies. Her favorite things were flowers, the color purple, shrimp cocktail and Dr. Pepper. She will be remembered by her husband, Richard Humphrey of Orange, California, and children Jason Reed, Katherene Gatts and Nathaniel Gatts. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cyrus Blum and Serenity Gatts and siblings: Madeline (Penny) Delano, Theresa Beam, Tammancy Rinehart, Walter Davis, and John Lopez. Debbie was preceded in death by her paremts Delbert Grim and Marianne Jennings. She will also be missed by her friends and staff at the Bella Vista Transitional Care facility in San Luis Obispo. Arrangements are being handled through the Chapel of the Roses Mortuary at 466-1161.
