

Muriel Aletha Guy, 86, of Paso Robles passed away while in hospice care on Monday, August 24, 2015 . She has gone to sleep waiting for Jehovah to bring her back to life in a restored paradise. Muriel was born April 15, 1929 in Duluth Minnesota, the daughter of Charles Wheaton West and Elsie Edith West. The family moved to California when she was young and Muriel grew up in the Los Angeles area. She moved to Atascadero in 1949 where she met Roy Guy and they were married in 1950 and had 4 children. Muriel loved Jehovah and her family and friends. She loved us no matter what and accepted each and every one the same. She had a big heart and such a loving way about her, she was a friend to all who knew her. She also loved doing crossword puzzles, word search and jumbles. She was a fashionista and loved being dressed to the hilt. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit and a sharp mind. Never did she miss a day of reading her Daily Text and scriptures for the day. Muriel is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Richard) Crutchfield of Paso Robles, son Robert E. (Dianne) Guy of Templeton, grandchildren Roy Guy III, Meagan Jensen, Aaron (Melissa) Crutchfield, Bobby (Chantal) Guy, Ryan Guy, Sarah Guy and Jake Guy, great grandchildren Christopher Piccus, Sierra Mackiewicz, Cambria Guy, Andrew, Nathaniel and Madeline Crutchfield, Georgia Guy, Gaia and Sevin Scott and Jacob Guy Jr. She was preceded in death by her son Roy Guy Jr. and daughter Cathy Jensen. She also had many nieces, nephews and their children whom she dearly loved. A special thanks to her loving granddaughter Meagan Jensen who cared for her for the past 10 years and was by her side till the end. The family is also grateful for the care she received from the staff at the Wilshire Hospice Inpatient Unit in San Luis Obispo. A memorial service will be held at the Paso Robles Kingdom Hall, 2901 Gilead Ln (off Golden Hill Rd.) on Saturday, September 5 at 1:00pm. Afterward, family and friends are invited to the home of LaVonne and Doug Casteel for refreshments and to share stories.
