Carter Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Carter “Cowboy” Brown, age 66, of Athens will be Monday November 26; 2012 at 11 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Bro Donald Terry officiating. Mr. Carter passed away Wed. Nov. 21, 2012 at Limestone Health Facility.

Burial will be in Tanner Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Carter “Cowboy’ Brown was born August 1, 1946 in Winchester, TN to Henry Duke Brown and Willie Blanche Peden Brown. Mr. Brown was a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Mr. Stanley Gordon Baker, one brother, John Henry Brown.

He is survived by one son, James Alan Brown of Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan; two daughters, Christy Gail Brown of Athens AL and Jessica Renee Brown of Athens AL; Grandchildren, Landyn Alan Haggard of Athens AL, and Grayson Dale Vanschoiack of Athens AL; one brother, Jimmy Wayne Brown of Cullman, AL; one sister Doris Yeager of Akron, AL

Pallbearers will be Gerald Haggard, Randall Haggard, Josh Vanschoiack, Blake Baker, Johnathan Haggard, and Jeremy Garrett,

Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Haggard, James Brown, and Philip Peden.
