Dorothy Richter

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richter died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Limestone Health Facility.

She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Limestone County to Edward Ralph Hobbs and Leona Howard Hobbs. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens and attended Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rogersville. She was a member of the Garden Club, 3-Arts Club and Study Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Earle Richter and a sister, Juanita Hobbs Boody.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Marie Richter Steinhauser and husband Al of Rogersville, and Nancy Carol Richter Cooper and husband Mike of Clanton; a sister, Gladys Hobbs Hodges of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren, Anna Steinhauser Norton and David Aldin Steinhauser, both of Huntsville, and Edward Darryl Steinhauser of Franklin, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Jason Steinhauser of Madison and William Norton and Ashley Steinhauser, both of Huntsville.

Pallbearers will be Al Steinhauser, Mike Cooper, Henry Norton, David Steinhauser, Jason Steinhauser and Will Norton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hendrix and Winston Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harry E. Richter Educational Scholarship Fund in care of First Presbyterian Church of Athens, or Springfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Rogersville.
