Louis Franklin McConnell

Mr. McConnell was born June 9, 1929, in Anderson, AL, to Henry Archie McConnell and Nora Long McConnell.

He retired from Saginaw and enjoyed fishing, wagon riding, and camping.

Mr. McConnell is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Veolene McConnell, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

He is survived by sons: Bobby McConnell (Beverly) of Decatur and Steve McConnell of Moulton; sisters: Nancy Warman of Savannah, TN and Reba Tremmel of Seven Hill's, OH; step-children Bruce Garrison (Mely), Toni G. Robert (Greg), Tim Garrison; grandchildren: Kelli Blankenship (Ben), Eric McConnell (Tara), Dustin McConnell (Ami) and Michael McConnell (Cassie); step-grandchildren Derek Garrison, Matthew Garrison (Alura), Summer Lindsay, Chris Garrison (Jenna), Jeff Garrison and great-grandchildren: Ross, Brooks, Bryce, Ryleigh, Suzanna, Kena, Reid, Hadley and Tucker. Step-great-grandchildren, Rheana, Brayden, Callen and Sawyer.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 -2:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home and Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Lauderdale County.
