Martha Lou Morris

The funeral service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at McConnell Chapel with Brother George Whitten officiating. The visitation will be from 1-3 Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Copeland Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris was born Aug. 22, 1932 in Limestone County to Cleveland Nalley and Annie Lou Springer Nalley. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Walter Morris, three sisters, Estelle Krebs, Clevie Nalley, Brenda Faye Barnes, one grandson, Cory Morris, and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Morris.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Morris and wife Phyllis, Terry Morris and wife Betty, Tim Morris and wife Gayle all of Athens; three daughters, Wanda Plemons and husband Ronnie of Athens; Toni Uhl and husband Rick of Meridian, MS; Kay West and husband Marvin of Somerville, AL; one sister, Linda Gail Isbell of Athens; 12 grandsons, one granddaughter, 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chad Morris, Alex Rucker, Allen Coughanour, Nick Morris, Michael Morris, Ian Springer, and Chris Stewart.
