Michael James Dockery

The Graveside Service for Michael James Dockery, age 66, of Athens, AL; will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery with Jimmy Bassham officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2014; 12 – 1:45 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Dockery passed away Wednesday April 23, 2014 at his residence.

He was born July 16, 1947 in Athens, Alabama to Donald Wayne Dockery and Betty Dockery.

He was retired from the U.S postal service and served in U.S. Air force.

Mr. Dockery is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Martha Dockery, one brother Charles Edwins Cutts, Jr.; one sister Donna Dockery Clegg; step mother Willa C. Dockery; and several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Patrick Hagood, Dr. Thomas Lanier Hagood, William H. Johnson, John Clegg, Joe Paul Townsend, and Mark Morgan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. John Hagood, William H. Johnson, Jr., and Curtis Daniel Johnson
