Randy Lynn McKnight

Randy was born June 24, 1969 in Moulton, AL to Eugene McKnight and Lois Pullum Pitts. He is preceded in death by his mother; his stepdad, Morris Pitts; one stepbrother, Marcus Pitts; his grandparents, Jesse and Lucille McKnight, Ruby Ward McKnight, Dallas and Doris Pullum and great niece Chelzee Cannon.

Randy graduated from East Lawrence High School in 1987. He attended Truth Baptist Church and he worked for Halsey Food Service for five years. Randy enjoyed making videos on TikTok, but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren more than anything. He was a big time bama fan.

Survivors include the love of his life, Ronda Shields; his father, Eugene McKnight (Diane); one son, Ethan McKnight (Janna); one daughter, Savannah Ziegler (Steven); two brothers, Wesley and Jackie McKnight; five sisters, Melinda McKnight (Josh), Sandy Seymour (Lewis), Stacie Arnold, Nancy Martin (Chris), Tammy Hartley; one stepsister, Melissa Pitts; two grandchildren, Aleigha and Addilynn Ziegler, six nieces Christina Brewer (Blake), Ashley Simmons, Stacie LeAnn Simmons, Brieanna Cannon (Wade), Kristen Malone (Chad) and Cheyenne Reeves, six nephews Jimmy Gatlin, II (Tasha), Dakota Kimbrough (Chrissy), Patrick Brewer (Gracie), Elijah Arnold, Lewis J. Seymour (April), Cody Brooks, 8 great nieces, and 4 great nephews.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Emily, Savannah, Jennifer, Kayla and Debbie, with Hospice of Limestone County as well as the bath team. Also, a special thanks to Randy’s caregivers, Diane, Josh, Wesley and Melinda.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 28th at McConnell Memorial Chapel

There will be a celebration of life for Randy on Wednesday, August 28th at 4 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Brother Terry Brown officiating.
