Barbara Mann Rudy

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John P. Rudy; her sister, Virginia Adams of Cambridge, Massachusetts; their son, Preston and his wife, Travis Silcox of Sacramento, California; their son, Christopher and his wife, Tracy Powell-Rudy and daughter, Samantha of Pleasantville, New York, and Tracy's son, Michael Powell; their son Gordon and his wife, Jennifer Howe, his son, Calvin and Jennifer's daughter, Rowan, of Chicago, Illinois; and their daughter Katharine Papasidero, her husband, Jim and sons, Nicolas, Anthony, and Robert, of Woodstock, Georgia.

Barbara was reared in Lincoln, Nebraska, held degrees from the University of Nebraska and the Fletcher School at Tufts, and lived with her family in numerous places, principally in France, Italy, Belgium, and New York. For the last thirty years, while residing in the US, they maintained a residence at Mont St. Leger, Normandie, France. In 2001, they retired to Athens for its culture and community.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 30 at 3 p.m. at Bernstein's Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Highway. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., prior to the service.
