A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Shelnutt was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Dollie Wages-Bagwell. She was a retired machine operator with Thomas Textile and was the widow of Roy Frank Shelnutt.
Mrs. Shelnutt was preceded in death by her daughter, Abbe Daniels.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Phebe and James E. Thomas; sons, Rodney Eugene Shelnutt and Joseph Frank Shelnutt; sister, Betsy Bagwell; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Zack Hawks officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 29 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
