I just learned of Bobbie's passing, and I'm so saddened by the news.  She was an exceptional person of great kindness and high spirit.  Her heart centered on enlivening the world around her, and she was a good friend for many years.  I will miss her very much, and I was blessed to have known her.

We are so sorry to hear of Bobbie’s passing. She was vivacious, brilliant, and so fun to be around. She handled her many life challenges with exemplary grace and nerves of steel. She adored Bill and I saw how his passing was very tough on her. 

In her role as a highly professional and capable real estate agent, she was a living-breathing welcome center in and of herself. She was a perfect fit in her role as chair of Athens Welcome Center Committee, where I enjoyed working with her for years.

 We send all prayers and compassion to her family at this difficult time. I will miss her friendship. The world is a dimmer place without her light.

Bobbie was an immeasurably kind and helpful partner whenever our department had job candidates in town. She could talk to anyone and knew every nook and cranny in Athens. I was so saddened to read this! Your mom was a very special person...she was kind and funny and she loved you all so much! She was also a special teacher who fervently shared her love of the French culture and language with her students!  I feel very fortunate to have had her as a teacher and hold many fond memories of our summer trip to France and taking the Athens Academy station wagon to French competitions! She certainly had the patience of a saint but seemed to truly enjoy every minute of it! You are in the thoughts and prayers of all of the Montgomery's who were blessed to have known her!

Bobbie was a friend indeed when my husband and were in need.  I will always remember her help and support during the summer of 2004.  A great person.

There are not enough adjectives in the English language to adequately describe your mother/grandmother. Bobbie and I became acquainted through business and then ultimately friends for life. Bobbie usually spent Christmas morning with us when we moved back to Athens until this past year. She was recovering from surgery And I was recovering from Covid, which had morphed into  Type A flu. Santa always paid a visit to our house and included Bobbie. When Bobbie was selling her house on Cloverhurst, I would go over to help her pack and dispose of things. Everything had to be touched, and there was a story to go with so many items. It was a real learning experience for me. When my mother was ill, Bobbie and Bill encouraged me to bring my mother over to enjoy their backyard.

It was so much fun, watching her develop the gardens at her new house. I always felt like I had a really brown thumb when Melanie, her caretaker, would bring her to my house to look at my backyard. She always had encouraging words for me for my gardening, as she did for so many people in every realm of life. Jim and I will miss Bobbie so much as we have missed your dad, Bill. I have a maple tree in my backyard that your dad gave me and I have plants in my front yard that your mom gave me. So Bill and Bobbie reign supreme in our yards and in our hearts.

Bobbie was a true Southern lady ..  .. a Steel Magnolia Whose positive energy was boundless and always a delight to be near as a friend.

Bobbie was my real estate agent first, then my friend for over thirty years. She and Bill were among my favorite people; always joyful, optimistic and inspirational. Bobbie lit up every room. I loved her and will miss her. I honestly believed her batteries would never run out.

I knew Bobbie and her husband Bill for more than 60 years. I was a
Student at Georgia working part time at Athens Regional Hospital.
Bill was the head pharmacist. For many years our paths have crossed.
Our children were in activities and school together. Her. son had health challenges, and  I always admired the support Bobbie and Bill 
gave to their family.
Following years of teaching French at UGA, Bobbie became a successful Realtor, and we worked in the same office together.
In recent years Bobbie and Bill had each had health challenges.
After Bill’s passing, Bobbie became my neighbor. She made such
remarkable effort to live life to the fullest continuing to attend
community events and stay active even with declining health.
She was as determined and tenacious as anyone I have ever known.
Bobbie will be missed by those who knew and admired her.

Bobbie was a dear friend to me.  Always kind and loving.  I have thought of her many times over the years.

Bobbie was a mentor and a friend to me.  She was the very best example of a real estate professional that a new agent could have.  She was always available to share her wisdom and encouragement.  I add my name to the long list of people who will miss her very much!

We always enjoyed going to concerts at the Performing Arts Center on campus and quarterly receptions at the Lamar DoddSchool of Art. She was an excellent example of a professional woman in Athens and  long time Rotarian. Her flair for clothing was exceptional.  Many will miss Bobbie.

Smart, lively, always curious and learning, and a wonderful sense of humor, Bobbie will be missed by many.
