I first came to know Carl over 7 years ago through his employment with Serv Pro.  I just recently learned of his passing and send you and your family my deepest condolences.

I too was touched by Carl's life in such a way that he will never be forgotten.

He was a man who was caring, giving, kind, gentle, and unashamed of his faith.

Heaven has a very special angel.  I am a better person for having had the privelege of knowing Carl Godfrey III.

He stood tall, a man among men.  He was a great role model for boys (and men).  Even as a man, he had the fun of boys.  Scouts and Scout leaders referred to him as our biggest Boy Scout.  "He can not come to us but we can go to him."  2 Sam. 12:23.  Doyle T. Brittain, Sr.

A wonderful man who shared his gifts generously. I am sure I am not alone in saying " Carl will always reside in a  very special place in my heart."  Our angels never seem able to stay as long as we would like.  My deepest sympathies to the Godfrey family.

Dupy and family, my sincerest condolences during this time of great loss.  I remember all of you from the last time I saw you all in 1962, just as I was leaving to join the U.S. Marines.  Even though we lost contact, I have oft wondered how you all were doing.  From reading the guest book, it appears that Bebo was an outstanding individual.

Carl was sweet, caring, and always professional as our first call for Servpro services. He kept my personal phone number to stay in touch with me and never failed to deliver when I needed him in short notice. Please accept my deepest sympathy as you go through this time of grief. I am a cousin from the Charlotte area.  Carl's Grandmother, May, and my Grandmother, Alma, were sisters.
Sounds like Carl was a wonderful man, just like his Father and Grandfather.  
Please know you will all be in my prayers as you go through the next days, weeks, months of grief and although we know that we will see Carl again and that he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord, it will still be difficult.  
I lost my 62 year old brother last December, to lung cancer, only 13 days after he was diagnosed and nothing will ever be the same or normal again. Heaven is much brighter for having these two young men there now and life here will have to be the new normal, as we have our memories of time we spent together.

We are so very saddened to hear the news of Carl's passing.  He was a great friend of ours who was always smiling and trying to help.  He was also a man who worked and lived by example.  We came to know and love Carl through our business association with ServPro.  We cannot express to you adequately enough how much we will miss him and his sweet smiling face. I first met Carl about 20 years ago when he was running a fund-raiser with me for the Boy Scouts.  I knew he was a special God & family loving man.  Then when he went with Servpro where he always work so hard and always had the biggest smile no matter how tough the job.  He had just met me about 2 weeks ago to try to fix a problem my dog had created.  As always, there he was smiling so large and willing to do whatever it took.  My heart goes out to the entire family for the loss of such a remarkable man, husband, father and grandfather.  I am blessed to have known such a special man.

Ms. Godfrey, Tony, and Derek, we wish you and the entire family the best during this difficult time.  We are glad we had an opportunity to spend time with Mr. Godfrey during Alex's wedding.  Although we understand the significance of your loss, rest assure that a man like Mr. Godfrey is definitely with God looking over us and spreading his smile with all in heaven.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.  Please also accept our condolences and prayers for you and your family.

He was the finest example of what a christian man should be and someone who could light up a room with his smile. Everyone has defining moments in their life. One of mine was when I met all of the Godfrey family at Fellowship Baptist. I loved being with you guys and still cherish the memories of a mission trip to the Bahamas that taught me in one week more about compassion than most people could ever learn in a life time. The news of Carl's death is most shocking and very so sad for all who knew him.  He was one of the finest men we have ever known and had a work ethic second to none.  We send condolences to Carl's family, whom we know by his frequent mentioning of them when in our home.  He was so very proud of his sons and their achievements.  Carl will be sorely missed.  May he rest in peace.

Carl was truly one of the most wonderful men I have ever met.  He left such an impression on me the first time I met him.  He was so kind, happy, so full of life and had a smile that would light up a room.  God has really gotten a gem in heaven. LeBron and I have so many wonderful memories of our friendship with the Godfrey family-- and especially our  fun times with Bebo.  Like the time we all went to Six Flags and rode the spinning barrel so many times  in a row, laughing hysterically --until we all got deathly sick and had to lay down in the park!!   We are so terribly saddened to hear of this  and will pray for your strength and peace in future days.  We are so thankful to know that Heaven is real and Jesus is Alive and Bebo is there!

Bebo was a great guy and a true friend, I will always have fond memories of him and of us sharing an apartment, working at 2 jobs together and going to school together(although it seems like a hundred years ago) He will be missed!
