A native of Madison County, Carole resided in Athens, Georgia most of her life. She retired from Yellow Freight and was one of the first female employees to become a Night Operations Supervisor. Among her many passions were flower gardening, bird watching, cooking and traveling.
Carole was a beloved mother to Dean Talley of Niceville, Florida and Taryn Barker of Marietta, Georgia and leaves behind five grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. Carole will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens, GA. Lunch will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Stroke Association.
