

Born April 5, 1950 in Miami, Florida to Charles and Faith Jones Brame, both deceased, he was a loving husband and father to his wife, Marie (Severovic) Brame, for 53 years and son, Christopher (Lynda), who was born on June 10, 1975.
Charles has two loving sisters, Faith Molfesi and Ilona Brame of Atlanta, Georgia. He had many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. His careers included working for Westinghouse, owning the Pepperidge Farm Bakery franchise in Athens, Georgia, and working as a rural mail carrier in Bogart, Georgia, from which he retired in 2013. His hobbies included flying Piper, Cessna and Stearman aircraft and his prized model train collection. He refereed and umpired softball, high school football, and middle school volleyball.
With his wife, he enjoyed bicycling Rails to Trails throughout the country and hiking in the mountains.
He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight and Financial Secretary. He was a longtime member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Athens, Georgia. The Celebration of Life and Memorial Mass for Charles will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 1, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 958 Epps Bridge Parkway, Athens, GA 30606. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will be private.
