A native of Hall County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Slaughter Horn. Mr. Horn was a member of the Athens Optimist Club where he served as a Boy Scout leader. He owned and operated C.W. Horn Insurance Agency for several years and served as Governor of the Athens Moose Lodge. He also owned and operated the BBQ Pit and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Survivors include children Elizabeth Pape and husband Courtney of Athens; Linda Morris of Woodstock and Louise Coleman and husband John of Lake City, FL, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11am Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Oconee Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joyce Heard officiating.
