Clark was a charming, outgoing, welcoming, talkative, witty, never-met-a-stranger kind of person. In many ways, he represented some of the best things about West Virginians, including the accent.
Like our father, he seemed to be one of the real characters of the West Side when we were growing up. His late adult life was very hard - he was sick and in pain for a long time. Clark lived in West Virginia almost all of his life until he moved to Athens, Georgia about 5 years ago. He received good medical care and, loving his independence, kept his own apartment.
Clark is preceded in death by his parents D. Ray McClellan, Sr. and Beverly Ann McClellan.
He is survived by his brother, D. Ray McClellan, Jr., of Good Hope, Georgia and his sister Candy A. Hug of Wilmington, North Carolina. A loving uncle to his 6 nieces and nephews, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. — D. Ray McClellan & Candy Hug
