
A native of Milledgeville, GA, Mrs. Killingsworth was the daughter of the late Luther D. Ennis and Callie Laura Pound Ennis and was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Sanders Killingsworth and brothers, John Milton Ennis and Luther Doyle Ennis. Mrs. Killingsworth was a graduate of The Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She retired after 35 years with the Clarke County School District as executive secretary to the superintendent of schools and was a charter member of Friendship Christian Church.
Survivors include son, Kim Killingsworth and wife, Bethany of Athens; daughters, Sandra Killingsworth Lukert and husband, Linn of Crestview, FL and Susan Killingsworth Cole and husband, James F. of Athens; sisters, Ann Ennis Annball of Athens, Carolyn Vansant of Athens, Elizabeth Cowart of Crossville, TN, and Francine Ennis Brown of Griffin, GA; grandchildren, Wendi Killingsworth Milner, Christina Ellen Cole, James (Jake) Frederick Cole III, Clinton (Clint) Heath Lukert, and Nicolas F. Colon, and great-grandchildren, Seixas Groves Milner IV and Luke Killingsworth Milner.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 6th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Page of Athens First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place at Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, GA at 3PM. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM prior to the service at Bernstein.
