Waco was very special to me and I hate that I didn’t know about his passing and wasn’t able to pay my respects and say goodbye but I know he his with his dog Levi and he’s probably telling everyone in heaven all about guns and driving a big truck. I will always love him and cherish a lot of special memories. I pray for you and your family to have peace and comfort. Truck on up in the sky Waco and save me another dance . 10/4 good buddy.

I met Waco at a party some decades ago thrown by Jeannine, his soon to be wife, then ex-wife. We warned him - One of his gag wedding gifts was a shovel and a bag of lime. Love is truly blind.

We soon became friends, then my best friend, then best friend of all time, eventually moving into my home where he lived for many years until the accident. Tragically he was only four miles from safety.

By example he taught me a great deal about how to treat people. I'm forever grateful for that - a lasting legacy. And he loved people, except liberals. Never met a stranger, ever.

He held on to birthday and Christmas presents for when he was having a bad day. He lied about his birthday so people wouldn't fuss over them.

Fiecrely loyal. Forever forgetful. Patriotic. Kind. Patient. Intuitive. A character with character. Truly caring! Hilarious! A brightly shining star in the galaxy of humanity. Generous to a fault. Arguments over restaurant checks were common - he'd sneak away to pay the server behind my back. Pay for things he had zero responsibility for. In fact the primary reason he found himself in the financial and medical condition that ultimately led to his demise was that the very LAST person he thought of was himself!

A few Waco-isms I've adopted:
(person): "I've got some trash to get rid of."
(Waco): "What county do you live in?"
(person): "X county."
(Waco): "Oh, pretty much anywhere."

(calling on the way home): "Need anything while I'm out?" He did this every single time.

"I think I just met my future ex-wife."

(my personal favorite): "If that's the worst thing that happens today, it'll be a good day."

The world is a darker, colder place now that he's gone. It's hard to reconcile why the worst things happen to the very best of people.

There can be no other - profoundly irreplaceable. You've heard the expression "After they made him, they broke the mold." This was never truer than of Waco Vincent, my dearest best friend, confidant, PAL. I miss him so.

Waco and my Uncle Brent have been roommates for nearly a year and a half. By the time I'd known him a few weeks he'd nicknamed me "No-No" ( I still don't know why), and since I was over there three times a week, it became like having a bonus uncle. He kept up with what was going on with my classes, work, family, and pets, who I was mad at,  and was always up for a hug no matter how sick he felt.

The two of them worried over each other, looked out for each other however they could, cackled and bickered like brothers, and  came up with funny little plots.  Waco knew how much Brent loves milk and sometimes at breakfast he'd give his to Brent, then tell the staff they must've forgotten his so that they'd bring another.  Brent had the bright idea for me to bring my dirty laundry up there and put it in his basket "so The Oaks can do it for you."  No telling what  they' d have gotten up to if they had unlimited mobility--and now Waco does. He is pain- free and unencumbered.

 I will miss him  and Brent will miss him even more. Sending love to Julia and all of Waco's family.

Condolences to the family. I used to look forward to going to work and seeing him he was always good for a good laugh, it was an honor to be able to take care of him in his last days on this earth, he will truly be missed by me and I’m sure others. Love you Waco, ( he always asked me why do you call me Vincent I go by Waco, I always was hard headed guess that’s why we got along, rest in peace my friend no more pain🙌🏼
