He was preceded in death by his father, Barry T. Smith, and survived by his two beloved sons, Andrew and Campbell; mother, Saranne Guy Smith; sisters, Ashley Catherine Smith and Anna Smith Waller (Don); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a niece.
Geoff was a devoted father, loving son, brother, and friend. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and one of his biggest passions was cheering on the Dawgs. He had a successful longstanding medical sales career and a huge heart for the community.
Geoff served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Athens.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. at Athens First United Methodist Church with a reception following in the church’s Hancock Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Athens.
