A native of Rochester, New York Ms. Laird was the daughter of the late Harry W. Davie and Verna Hughey Davie Frost. She was a retired house mother for the University of Georgia Chi Omega Sorority. Mrs. Laird was a member of the University Women’s Club, as well as several bridge clubs in Athens.
Survivors include daughter, Sue Kesler and husband, Dan of Athens and son, Chuck Laird and wife, Wanda of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 2340 Prince Ave., Athens, GA 30606.
